Web Maker Activity

In class today, we were sent on an assignment to use the webpage editing software, "Web Maker." Using this software, our class was successfully able to download and analyze the building blocks of any webpage we liked by a simple click of a button. For example, here's a quick edit I made:

One can see that through the use of Web Maker, I was able to remix the page and edit the text in order to make it my own personal message!

Another way to make use of this editing software was to better personalize the Edline pages. As a demonstration, I relisted the column on the left with links that had my name and my information on them, as opposed to the super general "Home Page" or "Classes and Shortcuts", etc...

Finally, although minor, I made a small edit to that of the google search homepage. This was, again, to make the page itself seem a little more personal and user friendly, in order to make it feel like a closer experience and more personalized webpage.

In conclusion, I found this activity to be interesting and fun, as it had us go above and beyond to find out the in's and out's of webpages. I thought the editing was fun as it allowed you to have a choice when it came to designing a webpage to your qualifications.
